Dundee Township Parks District Dundee Township Parks District Carpentersville, IL Carpentersville, IL Full-time Full-time $62,000 - $70,000 a year $62,000 - $70,000 a year POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction and supervision of the IT and Systems Manager, the IT Administrator supports and maintains IT department front-end operations through efficient installation, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades of all information system resources including, but not limited to:
District printers, workstations, phones, software, and peripherals.
The IT Administrator is the primary contact for all help desk issues, ensuring a positive interaction for staff while prioritizing work requests and providing timely support.

Installs, maintains, repairs, and upgrades:
printers, workstations, phones, software, hardware, copiers, fax, scanners, tablets, and peripherals a.
Install, deploy, and decommission workstations b.
Use mobile device management software to install, deploy, and decommission phones and tablets 4.
Assist staff as needed in evaluating, implementing and troubleshooting software applications and solutions in all District areas such as:
program registrations, customer database management, automated time capture, website, intranet, etc.

Maintain administrative level knowledge on all major software applications used by the District, as needed or directed, in order to assist staff in setting up, managing, and maximizing the use of software applications.

Administrates and updates the District's recreation software:
RecTrac 6.
Provide M365 management, setup, support, and training a.
Ensures appropriate M365 licensing is assigned to users b.
Assists users with setup of Teams and SharePoint sites c.
Trains users on Teams, SharePoint, Installation of M365 Apps, and use of primary Apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) d.
Maintains SharePoint and Teams to ensure unused or unnecessary sites are properly decommissioned/removed e.
Manages email groups ensuring unused or unnecessary groups are properly decommissioned/removed, appropriate mangers are assigned, managers are trained on how to add/remove members, and appropriate members are assigned 7.
Act as a technical resource for all District engagements including meetings and presentations 8.
Assist with IT department and District projects and work on District project teams a.
Work as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments 9.
Establishes and monitors controls to ensure only trusted and work-related software exists on District owned computers, tablets, cellular phones, and other devices that could potentially access or exchange data with District servers 10.
Monitors and maintains internet accessibility and remote connectivity at all District sites and for all remote access points.

Initiates and coordinates any needed fixes or repairs b.
Stays abreast of industry trends and evaluates alternative solutions for cost effectiveness and reliability c.
Works with individual employees to resolve residential remote connectivity issues 11.
Administrates the District's Active Directory setting up new users, managing password protocols, deactivating, and limiting access as needed 12.
Maintains the District's intranet site ensuring accessibility and assisting with informational updates and design/layout modifications as needed 13.
Assists with firewall, switch, and backbone maintenance, installation, and repairs 14.
Aid in maintaining documentation for all information systems processes 15.
Provides staff training in area of computers, software and telecommunications equipment where personal expertise and knowledge aligns with needs of staff 16.
Assist in the onboarding of new employees 17.
Maintains an awareness of proper safety procedures and guidelines and applies these in performing daily activities and tasks 18.
Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities Qualifications Associates degree from an accredited institution in related field or equivalent IT certifications with one to two years of full time computer experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and M365 products Fundamental network troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Valid driver's license required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good physical condition, sufficient strength, and mobility required Mechanical aptitude required, including the use of tools, equipment, and machinery Knowledge and skills in technology, or the ability to learn Ability to learn additional software and systems required for business transactions.
