Objective:
Perform duties to pack finished product according to customer specifications.
Duties:
1. Understand and work from shop orders and instructions.
2. Assist in establishing new methods of packing for new jobs.
3. Sort defective parts as required.
4. Write stock cards if necessary.
5. Mark and label cartons as required using bar code.
6. Load and unload parts.
7. Use different kind of rakes to pack parts
8. Perform cycle counting of parts on a daily basis.
9. Use a computer for label-making and printing.
10. Use basic math to determine label and box needs per order.
11. Operate manufacturing equipment as needed.
12. Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.
13. Seek help if problems arise and ask questions if you don't understand.
14. Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
15. Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.
16. Follow all required quality processes.
17. Wear all personal protective equipment as required by the safety policy.
18. Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
19. Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams.
20. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Experience:
No previous experience required. Previous experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment preferred but not required.
Skills & Knowledge: Basic math skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
